The thing about Mariolina's bed is that to start with it is a standard size of bed. So you have two mattresses, each of which is a single bed size (90x200). From Ikea you can only get standard sizes.The idea of this bed is that you have one mattress that covers the whole bed when closed(approx 135x155) and an extra mattress bit that is added at the foot and is 65x155. The final bed will be 200x155. This bit of mattress will be normally used as the back piece, standing vertically against the wall, behind all the pillows in the sketch. When you make the bed you take that bit and put it on the extension. Do you think you could get this kind of mattress - this is cotton and if you choose a nice fabrik it is very nice.
